What is the Work-Study Dual Program?
The Work-Study Dual Program is a “dual apprenticeship training system” supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, designed to provide practical training tailored specifically for Alpha Brothers employees. It is divided into OJT (On-the-Job Training) and OFF-JT (Off-the-Job Training at a joint training center).
A distinctive feature of this program is that the internal training sessions are conducted by Alpha Brothers' own staff. For example, the HR team leader leads the lectures on general affairs and HR, while the graphic team leader conducts the visual design courses. The program boasts high-quality training delivered by experienced instructors focused on practical, hands-on skills.

Here’s what the visual design instructor and a designer have to say about the advantages of the Work-Study Program :
The biggest advantage of conducting training through OJT (On-the-Job Training) is that it allows new designers to apply the theories they learn directly to their practical work. New designers often struggle to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. OJT helps alleviate this issue by integrating training and practical tasks. Additionally, by preparing thoroughly before starting graphic work, the quality of design improves. Designers first learn how to develop and visualize ideas through a structured process before diving into practical tasks, resulting in work that more fully reflects their intentions and ideas. This approach also enables designers to clearly articulate the rationale behind their design drafts.
- Visual Design Instructor, Team Lead Lee
The best part about the Work-Study Program’s OJT was that our team leader delivered the training directly, tailoring the existing curriculum to fit our specific needs and the unique context of Alpha Brothers. It's hard to stay focused when you’re only hearing theoretical content, but using practical examples from our actual work made the sessions much more engaging and enjoyable!
- Designer Woo
As the visual design instructor mentioned, applying theory to practice can be challenging. However, through the OJT (On-the-Job Training) program, Alpha Brothers' employees can overcome these difficulties by effectively integrating learned theories into their practical work, leading to growth and successful outcomes. We encourage everyone to take a keen interest in the Work-Study Program for new hires at Alpha Brothers.
