Fundamentals of Generative AI
AI programs are now widely used in various fields,
including writing, image creation, and video generation,
becoming an integral part of our daily lives—even making their way into our smartphones.
We had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of generative AI with Yonnie Cho,
CEO of AI consulting service company Sunday Worker.

To enhance internal productivity, Alpha Brothers regularly holds AI lectures.
The session held on February 2nd served as an orientation, focusing on the basics of generative AI and exploring the most talked-about image-generating AI tools. The goal was to spark interest in AI among employees and encourage its practical application in their work.
1. What is Generative AI?
Generative AI began to gain significant attention in 2022. However, the term AI, or artificial intelligence, has been familiar to us for much longer. So, what distinguishes "generative AI" from the AI we talked about before 2022? Traditional AI typically involves analyzing patterns and relationships within data to automatically predict and define new data. In contrast, generative AI is about creating entirely new content that didn't exist before.
2. Image-Generating AI?
In 2023, the most popular generative AI tools were image generators like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and DALL-E. During the lecture, we explored the differences between these image-generating AI services and had hands-on sessions to create images using these tools.

Short Quotes from Participants
"Personally, I used to spend a lot of time thinking about prompts,
but the 'Using ChatGPT to Write Prompts' session in this lecture
significantly improved the quality of my Adobe FireFly usage. "
"Not only did I learn that 'using ChatGPT' can be helpful,
but seeing concrete examples of command prompts like 'describe' and 'imagine' in Midjourney
made it much easier to grasp how to use these tools effectively."
Stay tuned for the 'Alpha Monthly Study' sessions, launched to enhance the knowledge and skills of Alpha Brothers members every month!
