[Reporter Kim Shin, Beyond Post] Alpha Brothers has been named the top institution in the 10th Reading Management Excellence Certification Program, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, managed by the Korea Management Association Consulting, and supported by the Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency. The company was awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for its achievements.
The Reading Management Excellence Certification Program is a system that recognizes organizations that contribute to spreading a reading culture through efforts such as creating reading-friendly workplaces and running reading programs. It highlights organizations that enhance communication and creativity within teams, establish a culture of reading for employees and the local community through regular programs, or lead workplace reading initiatives through book clubs.
Alpha Brothers not only earned the certification but also achieved outstanding results with over 80% employee participation in book clubs. Through strong leadership, the company leveraged reading management to improve organizational culture and increase sales, leading to its selection for the Ministerial Award.
As part of the award, Alpha Brothers received 1 million KRW in book culture gift certificates, 50 bestseller books, and tailored reading management consulting and cultural programs for certified institutions.
Founded in 2018, Alpha Brothers operates an in-house library with a collection of approximately 1,500 books and supports employees in purchasing additional books. The company also hosts monthly book club workshops, fostering a natural atmosphere for reading management by encouraging employees to share book reviews and engage in discussions. These initiatives have laid the foundation for a talent development process that has positively impacted the company’s overall performance.
A representative from Alpha Brothers stated, “Through reading management, we will continue to focus on talent development, employee welfare, corporate competitiveness, and contributions to the community, driving creative and sustainable growth.”
